2022-2023 Markham PTA Officers

President
Stacie Carlson

The Markham PTA President presides at all meetings of the Markham PTA, including monthly Executive Board meetings, and coordinates the work of the Markham PTA officers and committees.  She serves as an ex officio member of all committees except the nominating committee, the election committee, and the auditing committee, if authorized to sign checks.

The president works with the principal to promote the education of our students.  She also attends and participates in the Mt. Lebanon School District Council PTA meetings, as well as Presidents meetings, both held monthly.

She is liaison to Teacher/Staff Appreciation, Parent Education, Teacher Retirements, 5th Grade Committee.

First Vice President
Suzie Petrusic

The First Vice President's primary area of focus is Fundraising, as overseer for fundraising events and strategic planning.

The First Vice President is liaison to Read-a-Thon, Fun Run, Bake Sale, the Holiday Fair and Markham Magic.

Second Vice President
Colleen Brasacchio

The Second Vice President's key areas of focus are Membership and Hospitality.  

The Second Vice President is liaison to Newcomer Reception, Welcome Back Picnic, Popsicle Playdates, Coffee and Kleenex, Ice Cream Social, Kindergarten Orientation, and the Markham Circle Breakfast.

Third Vice President
Kelly Ogrodnik

The Third Vice President's primary area of focus is on Health & Safety, and Volunteers.  

The Third Vice President serves as liaison to Picture Day, Science Fair, Ice Skating Party, Field Day, Environmental Concerns.

Secretary
Kristen Zabela

The Markham PTA Secretary records the minutes of all meetings of the Markham PTA, and presents a written copy of the previous meeting's records at each meeting.

Secretary serves as liaison to Spelling Bee, Library Support and International Night.

Treasurer
Erin Tewksbury

The Markham PTA Treasurer has custody of, and maintains a full account of, the funds of the Markham PTA.  She makes disbursements as authorized by the executive board, in accordance with the budget adopted by the Markham PTA.

A written financial statement is required to be presented to the executive board at each meeting.  An annual report of the financial condition of the Markham PTA is to be presented, as well.   All records and transactions are subject to Audit at the end of each fiscal year.

Historian
Jaclyn Glynn

The Markham PTA Historian keeps a record of activities and achievements of the organization, as well as makes the information available to local, council, district or state leaders as requested.  Each committee chairperson and officer maintains a binder of pertinent information and reports for each position.  The Historian is responsible for collection of all year-end committee and officer reports for the organization, then updating as needed.

Historian serves as liaison to the Art Show, Reflections, Odyssey of the Mind and Markham's Got Talent.

Communications
Sara Shepard

The Communication's Officer is responsible for the PTA content in the Weekly Markham Newsletter, as well as the Monthly Markham PTA Messenger.  She directs and oversees Membership Toolkit, Technology/Website, and Eblasts.

Communications Officer serves as liaison for Memory Book.

Principal
Jocelyn Artinger

This position is reserved for the Principal or her appointed delegate.  She shall act as advisor and liaison between the PTA, the Markham staff, and the School District.

Principal serves as liaison to Corporate Rewards, Community Service, Landscape/Playground Committees, Maker Space and Assemblies.
